Hello my name is Maria I’m the owner of vela’s exceptional care and services LLC. I’ve been in the medical field for over 28 years, working with a wide range of clients and patients. I started in hospice care at the age of 18 and have since gained experience in various healthcare settings including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. I’ve worked at Hackensack Hospital and Saint Mary Hospital in New Jersey, as well as South Miami Hospital and Homestead Hospital here in South Florida. In 2020, I started my own home care agency with my daughter, Damary. Today, we have between 32 and 42 caregivers—both women and men—working with us. We are committed to making a difference in people’s lives by providing exceptional care to our clients. Our team includes CNAs, HHAs, and a nurse. We care for clients with a wide range of needs, including those recovering from strokes, dealing with Parkinson’s, dementia, Alzheimer’s, surgery recovery, or disabilities. We also offer companion care. We aim to accommodate all of our clients’ needs, including domestic and international travel if required. Our caregivers can accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, shopping trips, or even recreational activities like golf or canasta.
