I cared for my disabled brother for 3 years following a massive Traumatic Brain Injury he suffered. I dropped everything in my life to become his full-time caregiver, once he finally was able to come home. He had to relearn how to do everything, from moving his limbs to even talking again. I took great pride in watching him grow and learn. It made my day to be able to be by his side encouraging and assisting him to improve his quality life. I helped him perform anything from daily basic needs to a little more extensive care, including giving him his medications, bathing/dressing him and lifting him. I learned a lot from caring for my disabled brother and thoroughly enjoyed making him smile and helping him enjoy his day while caring for him and/or performing other tasks that needed to be completed. I have a huge heart and I love helping people, it's my passion! It gives me great joy to know that I'm making someone's day better while accomplishing other tasks that they are unable to do.
