Elder Care in Signal Hill, California

I have worked care giving since I decided to take care of my own mother before 2008. She was diagnosed with meningitis and survived. I was then asked to take on two more clients at the time from the social worker who observed the care I was giving to my own mother. I decided at the point that i would change careers from banking to being a full time caregiver. After losing my mother to stage 4 Lymphoma Cancer in May 2013, I decided to attain my CNA License to progress in the medical field. I went on to work privately through an agency to do care giving. I have enjoyed working with people in this field and learning about all different types of backgrounds and the different experiences people had in their our lives. For example, it's one thing to read the history books about a subject that affected a country and it's another to hear from a survived of the holocaust. To add, it's experiences like that and many more that makes being a caregiver meaningful, educating, rewarding, and having an appreciation for life as a whole. To conclude, providing care is to do it from the heart!
