Hello, I am recently graduated from George Brown College, on the Dean's List, and am looking for a Personal Support & Home Worker or Respite Care position where I can apply the skills and knowledge I have learned. You will find me well suited for the wide variety of duties of a Personal Support Worker. In my placement at St. Joseph’s and Copernicus Adult Day Program, I regularly assisted patients with bathing, meals, oral care, taking vitals, personal hygiene, mobility and transfers, and activities of daily living. I also provided support in response and restraint of aggressive patients, and preparation of deceased patients. I worked with patients who had dementia, Huntington's, MSRA, C-Diff, trachea tubes, chest tubes, feeding tubes, limb amputations, 3rd and 4th degree bed sores that required a negative pressure vacuum, UTIs, renal failure, diabetes, cancer, delirium, hoarding, rheumatoid arthritis and clients who are palliative. Although I am just starting in this field I also have an extensive work history where I have demonstrated my initiative, independence, and problem solving skills. I have developed excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I am looking for a client, or family, that I can work with on a personal level, preferably long term.
