Elder Care in North York, Ontario

Hello, my name is Ashley. I'm seeking a part time job as a caregiver for an older adult in or close to North York, Ontario. I am a very friendly and compassionate person. My previous career was as an addiction counsellor for 10 years, so I have great interpersonal skills. I only speak English. Services I provide: Shopping, light housework, light personal care (such as dressing and changing clothes, clipping nails, etc), accompaniment to appointments, stimulating conversation, assistance with the persons favourite leisure activities, and more. I am trained in CPR as of 2018. I also have a clean police check as of 2019. I can provide you with copies of both of these. I currently have 3 clients, who can provide you with references. I also work occasional shifts at the concierge desk at Delmanor Northtown (retirement residence) as well as volunteering in their recreation department. I can also provide a reference from Delmanor. In addition to the above, I am currently studying towards a Gerontology (study of aging) certificate at Durham college. The hours I am looking for are part time with a minimum of a 5 hour shift once per week, to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
