I am qualified Doctor of Physiotherapy and have more than 25 years’ experience of physical and functional rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. I oversee a full functional physiotherapy department with daily average of 50 patients. I design and conduct training of trainees and new staff on various aspects of physiotherapy. I have designed physiotherapy training courses and reference materials for graduation level courses as well as trainees. I had managed Paraplegic Center established at Cantonment General Hospital established by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with Handicap International for the 2005 earthquake victims. I supervised and trained a team of 18 physiotherapists and volunteers for the Center. I also have treating injured civilians (IDPs) in result of armed operation for cleanup of Taliban in Swat. I have managed cases of bone fracture and amputations during the emergency response. I have experience of managing emergency response for physiotherapy, and successfully performed in high workload. I independently managed the HI supported Paraplegic Center in 2005. My motivation to apply for this position is using my experience and qualification to expand my experience by working in other countries. I have worked voluntarily in flood situation as well. I have been representing at procurement and course design committees as well as various internal hospital committees. In my present work, I oversee physiotherapy department’s day-to-day affairs, collaboration with other department including administration, team management of a multi-cultural team, workflow management etc. I bring extensive experience in physical and functional management of various physiotherapy conditions as well as high level skills of problem solving, team building, developing out of box solutions and developing high performing teams. I have good command in English Language and communication skills. I am frequent user of MS Word, Emails, Powerpoint and easily search reference documents from internet.
