Elder Care Job in Silver Spring, Maryland

Nice to meet you! My name is Juliette. I am seeking a seasoned individual to be a PART-TIME companion and caregiver to my 78 year old mother. She already has a caregiver for when I'm at work but needs someone for part-time hours determined around your availability during the week or weekend. My mom is in the early stages of dementia, which affects her short term memory. She speaks both English and German. Someone who also speaks German is a desirable candidate, but it not necessary. She needs reminders for brushing her teeth and hair. She is able to dress herself but she is frail and needs assistance with bathing/showering and cannot prepare meals for herself. I need someone who is active and motivated beyond just watching TV with my mom. Some TV is fine but some walking as daily exercise is required for her. That can be a walk in the neighborhood, at the grocery store, shopping mall, etc. Having your own car is a requirement.
