Elder Care Job in Dodge City, Kansas

Family needs senior care provider with experience to provide companionship for elderly parents, especially my father who has some dementia and memory loss. He can't drive and has some mobility issues. Ideal person would play checkers, cards, accompany him to events at independent living facility, drive to local places, keep his mind active and engaged. Ideal person also would be available occasionally to drive and attend to him occasionally at local events in the evening - such as Knights of Columbus, sporting events - and during the day for errands, entertainment etc Part-time, likely 10-15 hours a week. Pay and hours negotiable but would be in the afternoons. Must be reliable, patient, and able to deal with elderly man with mild dementia who needs to have his mind engaged. Must have reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, ability to be insured, and no criminal background.
