Elder Care Job in Lafayette, California

Our family is seeking a compassionate and patient caregiver for our 107 year old grandmother. The ideal candidate has experience with dementia. We will only consider those with at least basic knowledge of Taiwanese, Mandarin or Japanese. Own transportation is preferred, but not required. Non-Smoker, Fully Vaccinated a must. Job duties include: meal preparation, assist with bathing and grooming, partial assist with transfers (in/out of bed, chair and toilet), and some stand by assist / partial assist with walking. Our grandmother is still able to walk with a walker and cane inside the house, but will need a wheelchair outside the house. She is at risk for falling. The bigger responsibility is to help keep a regular schedule with her, to engage her in conversation, and take her out of the house every day for meaningful activities.
