Elder Care Job in Boston, Massachusetts

Hi Everyone! I am looking for a compassionate live-in caregiver for my 88 year old dad who is experiencing early stages of dementia. My dad lives in Boston, Massachusetts in a nice 2-bedroom home, and is a 15 minute drive from the beautiful park! My dad needs around the clock supervision. We are looking for a caregiver that has experience in elderly care, and specifically working with dementia patients. He needs assistance with daily tasks such as meal preparation, medication management, housekeeping, and laundry. Additionally, you will provide transportation to appointments and outings, attending all appointments as a patient-advocate, while also providing emotional support and companionship. He is capable of showering, walking, eating, and all other activities of daily living with very minimal to no assistance. My dad has been living in Massachusetts for over 50 years where he owned his own plumbing and heating business and raised his family. He loves the outdoors and mountains. He is also a very proud Irishman, who loves to talk about Ireland and sing Irish songs. The love of his life and my grandma, Jean, died 8 years ago. He loves to talk about her and misses her very much. He is a kind and intelligent man with a strong Irish heart and personality. In return for providing care, you will receive free room, board, and a monthly stipend. Respite care will also be included so you get time-off every week to enjoy the amazing Flathead Valley! The caregiver must have their own vehicle with current insurance. We also require that the caregiver agrees to a mandatory background check and is willing to submit all necessary documentation.
