Elder Care Job in Duncan, British Columbia

Hello! I am seeking a companion for my elderly father who is presently living in long term care in Duncan, BC. I am looking for someone who can visit with my father 1-2 times a week, ideally someone with their own vehicle who can take him for outings such as to coffee, to lunch, a drive, or a short walk. Looking for someone who is consistent, friendly, and who can provide my dad with company and conversation -or - simply and respectfully provide him the opportunity to be away from the long term care facility where things can be a struggle with over stimulation, lack of privacy, disruption, etc.. So perhaps some days he might just want to sit over a cup of coffee and be quiet. Responsibilities include providing companion services, supporting Dad to have time out of the long term care facility, going for coffee a meal or for a quick shop - able to work with what my dad wants in the moment and respecting his agency. We are offering a competitive wage of $30.00 per hour, 4 to 6 hours a week. Must have a valid drivers licence, criminal record check upon request, ideally experience with folks with dementia.
