Elder Care Job in Calgary, Alberta

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated elder care provider looking for a full-time, live-out position in Calgary, Alberta. Our family is seeking a reliable companion to assist with home care, respite, and personal care for our parents Patricia (87) and Ralph (81). They have done an amazing job of living independently until now but need in-home care to support their daily needs and maintain the house. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for elderly and be able to provide companionship, support daily activities, including driving them to appointments and out for walks at the mall. A vehicle will be provided so having a driver’s license is required. Daily care will include help around the house, light house keeping and meal preparation. They are two wonderful people and it’s very important they are treated with sincere kindness and patience. Ralph has Parkinson’s and is very mobile however has progressive confusion and needs someone who is patient to support him through his day. Patricia has an upcoming knee surgery that will require additional support with mobility around the house including support bathing and exercise during her rehabilitation. They live in Silver Springs, close to many pathways. Availability required: We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, after interviews and reference checks are done. Hours of work 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in someone's life while receiving competitive compensation of $25 hourly.
