Elder Care Job in Seattle, Washington

Currently my sister and I are looking for a companion for our elderly mother for a couple 1/2 days per week from 10:00-2:...pm. We are considering Thursday and Saturday, but have some flexibility in determining the schedule. She has vascular dementia, but with some help and patience is able to express herself and converse with others. She has a generally positive disposition and interest in life. We are offering $25 / hour, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. You will be responsible for providing compassionate, quality care and companionship. This includes accompanying her at social activities and lunch, and helping her settle in for a morning and/or afternoon nap as needed. She is residing in an assisted living community and we would like her to receive some additional one on one care, especially ensuring she gets rest in her apartment when tired. My sister and I are both actively involved in her care. We need someone who has interest and skill in working with someone with dementia.
