Elder Care Job in Glen Allen, Virginia

Overview: I'm looking to employ an in home caregiver in Glen Allen, Virginia for my 74 year old father who has dementia. My aim is to connect with a skilled employee with part-time availability in the mornings. I am interested in someone with eldercare -- more specifically -- dementia knowledge. I am my father's legal guardian and cannot provide care for him anymore. Duties: My father needs social support, medication management, laundry and light cleaning and organization including bedsheets and bathrooms. Occasionally, may require appointment transportation. Our ideal home caregiver would be a nurse, but this isn't necessarily a deal breaker. Compassion patience and experience working with individuals who have dementia is a must. Additional Availability: Daily for 1 hour in the mornings and an additional 2 hours any day of the week, however regularly; appointments and PRN availability when medically necessary are a plus.
