Elder Care Job in Lethbridge, Alberta

Permanent Care giver required for a senior woman (92) with dementia. Losing independence so she requires lots of cueing and someone around to help out when needed. We are easy to get along with and work with everyone's schedules. We have p/t care givers and are looking for a third to join the team. Most of the shifts are done while she is alone so this is a quality visit over quantity. You will never be rushed :) Routine care giver role (meds. assisted bathing, cueing for dressing, meal prep, ) and basic house management/organizing tidying. Full-time or part-time elder care provider for my family in Lethbridge, Alberta. The position is live out. You are expected to be reliable and compassionate. Here is the ad we posted on another site: We are seeking in-home caregivers for a happy, friendly elderly woman with progressive dementia. Need permanent coverage for day/weekend shifts - Primary hours / visits will be: Weekday: Breakfast 2 hours Lunch - 2-4 hours depending on activities. Dinner visits for 2 hours Evening/nights combined with dinner 4-6 hours. Weekend: include Evening and night visits 4-6 hour shift. You will be joining others in sharing the work schedule for the month. Some shifts can be up to 8 hours at one time. Otherwise they can vary from 2 - 4 hours usually. The role requires the care giver to be able to follow directions and to be social (interacting at times) with our mother. The role includes: - meal prep (from kits) - assisting with personal care, showers - cue for medication - home organization/tidy, laundry - companionship during meal times.
