I am a 44 year-old divorcee, with three children-all employed and in college. While I am anxiously awaiting for the Lord to bless me with a grandchild soon. Until then I would like to remain employed full-time. I have over 15 years experience as a caregiver. I've worked with seniors, children with special needs and handicapped/disabled individuals.. including a quadriplegic. Having loved ones of my own in need of Home Care, I'm fully aware of the fear and anxiety that comes along when trying to find the right individual to care for your loved one. I feel very fortunate for having the privilege to be trusted with the lives of those unable to care for themselves. I've grown to love what I do, as I find it both rewarding and challenging. I pride myself on providing nothing but the best of care, as I would want for my loved ones. I am patient, understanding, compassionate and trustworthy, yet assertive. It is of the upmost importance to establish a solid, trusting relationship with each of my clients. In the event your loved one doesn't take a liking to me, or if I feel I'm not the right person for the job. I would promptly notify the family in order to avoid any uneasiness for anyone. I would be happy to allow as much time needed to find a replacement. Need not to worry, I haven't had this problem before, however it has occurred with my own family. Needless to say, I want your loved one to feel safe, comfortable and to be receptive of my care, and to do so while maintaining their dignity and self respect.
