Elder Care Job in Puyallup, Washington

I have a free room available for a possible nursing student or an EXPERIENCED health care aide/worker. Live in not required. But prefered. This is a part time job so you would have time for your own life as well, there will be other aide that do not live incoming and going. Share 1 bath with one very clean person. No more pets, im sorry I wish we could but we have 4 already. 3 cats and a doggy. Laundry on site, parking available in driveway. Please do not smoke. If you do it must be outside then wash after if handling mom. CLEAN CRIMINAL RECORD, DRUG FREE. No heavydrinking, and please no overnight guests. We are a very lively household, mom is hilariousand easy to be around. She is only 67 but she is bed bound and very overweight at 275lbs she haslost 25lbs and we continue to work on that. She has severe rheumatoid arthritis, needs a new knee and shoulder. Has diabetes and has hadsome botched surgeries that need repair at a later time. Your main requirement would be to help me with her physically during the daytime mostly and occasionally an evening bathroom call. Help with transfering to and from wheelchair/bed with gate belt or hoyer lift Sponge baths Bedpan Companionship Prepare lunch, cut up food, she is able to feed herself just cannot cut food, hands are messed up due to arthritis. Change linen if needed Wash her linens only or clothes, I will help withthat as well Very minor cleaning like load dishwasher, quick mop around her bed, area. Run errands, few Assist with going to the doctors office Help me schedule her appts Ya, I need help too lol, I will not depend on you for everything dont worry! Lol. I mainly need the help with the physical part, bathroom duties and washing her and moving her. I cant do that part anymore. Now about us, im her daughter Beth. We are funny as and love love love to laugh around here. I adore my mom, shes all I ever had growing up. I love music and pearl jam. Im 46ish, that says it all lol. Mom, she is a former African percussionist, she used to program for the space shuttle, she was a wonderful life coach. She is friggin hilarious and VERY VERY easy to work with, she is NOT that mean ol crabby grandma we all know and love, this ones special and very unique. Seriously. A gem, a diamond inthe rough.
