Here are a few things about me. I am 34 yrs old and have always loved helping others. My work history includes; working with children between the ages of 4-6wks to middle school age. I’ve had some experience with special needs children as well. I’ve also helped with in home care for an adult family member. During that time, I was helping her organize her medications and gained some knowledge of what kinds of things that should be known about when/ how different medications should be taken. I am not currently a licensed nurse or med tech but I would be willing to help organize and write lists to help in any way that doesn’t cross anyone’s privacy boundaries and is within the law. I also have learned how to be patient with someone who is sick and just needs compassion and a bit of understanding when things have become overwhelming or too complicated for them to manage alone. I have a positive yet realistic look on things and a big heart. I always seem to find myself drawn to jobs that make A real difference, even if it’s because of helping with “the little things”. I’ve learned that those are sometimes the things that can be the best way to help out. I like to organize and tidy up. It is something that makes me feel good when I’ve finished. I also enjoy reading, to myself and to others. I’m someone that is always eager to learn. I hope to find someone to help that likes good conversation and to provide someone they can feel comfortable with while I do my best to help sustain their independence as well as treat them with respect. I am available to work part-time and have reliable transportation. My preferred hours are from 8:30-2:15 depending on the distance I have to drive.
