Elder Care in Marengo, Illinois

I am a care provider with experience. I enjoy what I do. It has been fulfilling and satisfying. I do everything. I cook, clean, vacuum, do dishes, laundry, keep my client company, dust, I help bathe them, help with bathroom necessities, etc... But more importantly I keep my clients engaged and I keep them company. I feel that it is very important to keep clients engaged. Conversation and feeling connected is vital in order to feel good about yourself. I have been married for 24 years. I am mother to 5 kids. They are 22, 21, ... and 14 years old. I have 4 sons and 1 daughter. My 2nd boy is special needs. I feel his particular needs have made me a more compassionate, kinder and understanding human being. I was a stay at home mom for 18 years. I kept my home clean, in order and happy. Meals were always on time. Children were driven to all of their activities. Believe me there was always someplace to be. I had them in basketball, soccer, cross country, track & field, tutoring, volleyball, choir, clarinet lessons, piano lessons, swim lessons, various camps during the summers, after school jobs, etc... Many times I had 3 kids that had to be in different towns for activities at the same time. It wasn't easy but I got it done. I kept them busy. Besides caring for my children and my home I also helped care for my parents when they were sick. My mother passed away in 2011 from stomach cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. I was at her bedside in the hospital and at home. I bathed her, kept her company, helped in the bathroom, read to her, talked with her, took her to chemotherapy and radiation appointments and I held her hand through it all. She was diagnosed the 2nd of February in 2011 and she passed away May 11th of that same year. My father was ill for 10 years. He passed away in 2008. I also kept him company, helped bathe him, read to him, held his hand, drove him to appointments, talked to him, etc... Being with my parents during their illnesses and caring for them made me a much more compassionate human being. I know that's why working as a caregiver is fulfilling. I believe I am a positive person. I have always been told this. I love to read. I love to write. This was what I majored in college. I wanted to be a journalist. Then I realized that what I wanted was just to write short stories, poems etc... These are my hobbies. I'm 45 years old. I'm grateful for all that I have. I hope that when you read this you're willing to give me a chance. I know that I won't disappoint.
