Elder Care in Tioga, Texas

I love people and have great concern for the elderly and disabled. For 2 years I was a live in care giver for an amazing woman who had MS-we shared many wonderful times and I was blessed beyond measure for the experience. As her care giver, I was responsible for shopping, cooking and serving her and her husband 3 meals a day, keeping the kitchen clean and washing clothes . Responsibilities including helping the patient with all personal care including showering and catheterizing. PT exercising was a daily duty to build and maintain her strength. Part of my pledge to this couple was to put weight on this lovely woman in a healthy and protein filled diet with lots of fruits and vegetables-my patient weighed 92 lbs. when I started and 115 lbs of lean muscle 2 years later when she was scheduled to move to an assisted living village in Arizona. This was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
