Elder Care in Las Vegas, Nevada

I'm an
Individual
Hi There, I’m Kat, a highly trained caregiver new to the Las Vegas area with flexible scheduling available for occasional to full time care. I have over 20 years experience as an Emergency Medical Technician both in the field and in all levels of hospital care. I was also previously certified as a BLS/CPR Instructor for the American Heart Association. I have also been involved in the Fire Department as a volunteer since 1994. I have specialized training in Cardiology, Neurology, Pulminology, Nutrition, Pharmacology, Physical Therapy, Endocrinology, and even Music Therapy. In layman’s terms, I’m especially helpful for people with heart problems, breathing problems, in need of wound care, Diabetes, Parkinson’s, Dementia, as well as clients who employ the use of medical support equipment. I’ve worked with tracheostomy, nasogastric and feeding tubes, foley catheters, and colostomies. I’ve even studied with a Grammy winning musical therapist! I enjoy most getting to use my knowledge and skills towards human connection. I am petite, and quite nimble in small spaces; but don’t let that fool you, years in the fire services as well as high performance sports have made me mighty! I’m also happily available to help with medication management, hygiene, meal prep, light housekeeping, or running errands (though I do not have my own vehicle at the moment). I also thoroughly enjoy reading, chess, games, cards, and the likes...and I live to sing! The best way to reach me is by mobile or text at 702-672-...

Recommendations

Dr Robert K

I worked with Kat in the Emergency Department at Riddle Memorial Hospital where I observed her excellent communication skills with both incoming patients and the nursing staff. She was a trouble-shooter, solving problems of transferring patients, contacting on-call physicians for ER staff, and following-up on lab orders. Kat often went out of her way to provide for the non-medical needs of patients and families in the emergency department. I would not hesitate to work with her again.
