Each person, regardless of their level of ability, is unique and deserves to be treated with care and respect. I treat my clients/patients as people with as much dignity as possible. If my clients are able, I\'ll hold conversations with them. Even ones who are in the more advanced stage of dementia generally appreciate being treated like a person, so I\'ll talk to them and explain what I\'m doing even if they may not fully understand what I\'m doing. I\'m a certified Health Care Aide. I\'ve also studied other fields including public relations. I work part time with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and have extensive experience in a variety of service-oriented industries and have worked as a dietary aide in an assisted living facility, retail, and as an insurance broker. I currently work in community health with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. I have varied experience including changing catheter bags, giving eye drops and basic wound care.
