Elder Care in Flagstaff, Arizona

I am a mature 30-year-old woman who has several years of experience providing patient, compassionate care and/or recreational or educational experiences for people of a variety of ages. I have background as a bird biologist and educator/interpreter, and I use this experience to provide community bird walks in Flagstaff professionally. In addition, I have experience guiding people of a variety of ages in wilderness settings, and am CPR and Wilderness First Responder certified. I am equipped with a first aid kit that allows me to address some emergency and first-aid situations. I am trained to make a detailed patient assessment, diagnosis, to provide basic treatment, and to provide information to emergency professionals. These certifications have trained me how to recognize common health scenarios including blood sugar problems (diabetes), heart problems, seizure, shock, poisoning, and allergic reactions, among others. In addition to first aid and CPR, I would be glad to take initiative to help with transportation for appointments and outings, fun projects, cooking, cleaning, dressing, bathing, medication reminders, and any other needed help. I have a diverse educational background and variety of interests including cultural and language studies, conflict resolution, international studies, sociology, music, gardening, natural health care and cooking, natural history and ecology, and of course ornithology. I have recently specialized in identification of northern Arizona birds by sight and sound and I am passionate about sharing this knowledge with others. I have lived in Brazil and Malaysia and have traveled through Mexico and Central America. I speak Portuguese and some Spanish in addition to English as my native language. It would be a joy for me to give your loved one a caring experience. My greatest objective would be to bring a greater sense of comfort and joy to their life.
