Elder Care in Atwood, Ontario

I have 10 years of experience in homecare and as a companion aid. My experience is non medical . I provide support in the home which would include meal preparation,errands,socialization support, light housekeeping, laundry. My previous job was supporting individual residents in the nursing home. I had planned special outings which included bus trips, concerts, picnic lunches, games Researching community activities for each individual that they would have interest in. Part of my job was to provide meaningful companionship with engaging conversation, and to learn more about their life and share their special memories. As a companion aid we would enjoy numerous different games to keep their minds active. It is such a joy to get to know these wonderful seniors, they are treated like my own family. I am kind and compassionate, trustworthy, reliable and also very social.
