Elder Care in Sacramento, California

My name is Rosemarie Beseler, I was born in Chile, that long country in South America and immigrated to USA in 1982 with my husband and our three children. It was very difficult at first without speaking the language but children absorb information very fast and then they help the parents, plus we were very young too. We lived in Los Angeles first were my husband had his job and then moved to the Bay Area, and we loved it here. Sadly we got a divorce and with three children to take care of, plus work, I was always busy and I managed. Later I remarried and kept working part time to be able to be with my children. My job involved office work, driving people back and forth and customer service. In 1998 my husband and I moved back to Chile, my parents were getting old and I wanted to take care of them, I enjoyed those years a lot, listening to their stories, taking them out for lunch, managing their laundry and a bit of house cleaning. I was very glad that I moved back because I was able to enjoy my mom until her last days, she passed in 2003 and was with her till the end. But then we had a problem with my dad, we couldn't leave him alone and he was ferociously independent and wouldn't move out of his house, so we had to hire a helper to do the things he could not, and that worked fine, his decline started in a few years and now he lives in a facility for older people and he will be 100 years old this November!! Sadly he has dementia and doesn't recognize any family member, so I decided to come back because I missed my children a lot and here I am, looking for a job doing something that makes me feel good.
