Elder Care in Moncton, New Brunswick

Thank you, for taking your time, to take a look at my profile ! My name is Sandra, I am 37 years old and from Austria. Since April this year I live with my canadien fiance Stephane in Moncton - New Brunswick. 2 years ago I crossed the wide ocean from Europe to Canada for the first time and I was just overwhelmed by this wonderful Country and the Canadien mentality. My fiance Stephane is bilingual (French and English) and because I want to learn the french language too, we practice on it, whenever we can. I am a fun-loving person with a good sense of self and positive nature and I have a good sense of humor. I like to do a lot of things when I have free time, it depends on the day and how the weather is. For example on sunny days, I take a book with me and I sit near the Monctons `Chocolate-River` and I just enjoy the sun and the wonderful nature. Or I visit Monctons gorgeous Downtown and walk along the Mainstreet to by myself a smoothie, wich I adore. On days, when the weather is not so fine, I listen at home to music and paint pictures, or I write letters to my family in Austria, which are my 18 year old sister Diana and my 58 year old mum. Ever since I was a teenager, I had a passion for taking care of eldery people. My 78 year old grandma was living with me and my mom in our household near Vienna and whenever I could, I took care of her emotional and physical needs. It was always very special moments for my grandma and me, when we was sitting at the kitchentable and she told me stories about her life and what she experienced during the second world war. In 1994 I gratuated highschool and I wanted to visit the nursing school in Vienna. But cause of our economic circumstances at home, I decided to start working at a famous lawyer-agency in Vienna. But I never forgot my passion in the eldery-care, and so I became next to my main job a Volunteer at the Caritas in Vienna. In the year 2012 I got my certificate as a Live-in Caregiver. During my education and experience, I have gained strong skills of providing nursing services to elderly people. I assisted with the basic activities of daily living of elderly people at a separate residence. In addition, I am expert in running errands, helping elderly clients in doing regular exercises, providing companionship to clients and preparing nutritious meals for them. Besides, I am expert in monitoring the client’s diet, giving assistance with bathing and grooming and helping elderly with toileting.
