I am 47 years old, married with a 7 year old son. I am family oriented. I went to college straight out of high school I obtained my Associate Degree in Nursing in 1993 from Mitchell Community College. I hav worked in hospital setting, long term care facilities, & home health care field in management roles & as floor or field nurse over past 20 years. I made decision to stop working in 2013 to take care of my 76 year old mother who has Alzheimers Disease I hav been her primary caregiver in her home since Jan of 2013. She has steadily declined & has been placed n a long term care facility. My siblings felt that her needs had progressed to point that it was too much for me to handle at home as well as taking care of my family. I did not renew my RN licensure in 2015 when it was due only because of finances. My husbands work had been slow at that time & I had no income so I had to b placed on inactive status with the Board of Nursing. I am working on the continuing education I need to complete my RN licensure to b active again I am actively seeking employement so I can pay the financial obligation as well but that is not the only reason I want to return to work. I hav missed providing care & making a difference in peoples lives. I spent the last 12 yesrs of my career in home health care working mainly with elderly patients I was able to really get to know patients in their home environment & was able to build relationships but still maintain professional boundaries.
