35 years working with folks with disabilities of all ages, including seniors and those living with dementia. My education, training and employment has been related to disabilities, aging populations and neurodegenerative diseases. I have personal experience in providing support to loved ones at home, retirement living, nursing homes, palliative care settings, during any travel and family’s homes needing respite. I am able to provide companionship, errands, nutritional support, some lifting/transfers, mentally and physically stimulating activities, medication dispensing, wound care, meal preparation, light housework, appointments, hospital testing and outings. Being an animal lover, I am happy to care for any pets that live in the home and also require care. I am compassionate, reliable, patient, attentive, excellent communicator, observant of safety & medical issues, knowledgeable of helpful resources, flexible and trustworthy. Keeping loved ones happy, safe, healthy and living the best quality of life possible are priorities. I tailor all activities to individual abilities and interests, as well as any family instructions/preferences. I am always excited to try new things that will be helpful to my clients and their families.
