Elder Care in Brooklyn, New York

Hello! My name is Amber, and I am a proud doggy parent of a Golden Retriever mix, Selmy. I have always loved caring for others, but adopting Selmy 5 years ago really awoke this motherly instinct to care for everyone around me, plus I'm a Cancer : ) Although I received my bachelor's degree in Sociology, I went back to school and obtained a early childhood-sixth grade teaching certificate. The past two years I taught precious third graders, and before teaching I cared for others' homes and pets. I haven't had a recurring role as a caregiver to an elderly person, but I am excited for someone to give me a chance. I value the wisdom and experiences of the elderly and know I could learn a lot while caring for them. Some other things to note are that I am CPR certified, have a valid driver's license and clean driving record, a car, and I will be flexible with your schedule. I am respectful, responsible, honest, empathetic and down-to-earth. I love traveling, playing sports, being outdoors, performing arts, crafts, and learning. I just love life!
