(Resume Summary) My name is Derek. I'm searching for a senior care provider placement (Senior Companion / Driver Companion, part-time/full-time) in York Region/GTA and surrounding area. I strive to be an empathetic, reliable, responsible, patient, kind, communicative, friendly companion to seniors. I am retired from my previous full time career and am currently "semi-retired", employed part-time (and seeking additional opportunities) in this field which I enjoy immensely. I can be flexible and available most occasions on short notice if required. I have undertaken and passed the required OSHA Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development's training module, Worker Health and Safety Awareness. (Service Abilities) I am happy to help and am experienced with senior companionship, household chores, food preparation, driving, appointment transportation, cognitive stimulus, activities, socializing, etc. I have a drivers license (44 years) and I am fully insured for additional passengers as per this service provision scenario. (Experience) I have 2 years of paid work experience since retiring from my full time career as a market research manager (employed currently by Seniors For Seniors/Spectrum Health as a senior companion/driver companion, and previously by RJM Group providing special needs student transportation).
