Elder Care in Calgary, Alberta

I am applying for the position of senior care/elder caregiver. I am holder of a Certificate in Health Care Aide from ABM College and I did my five weeks practicum at Beverly Age Care Centre and five weeks at Foothills Hospital at the Neurosciences unit. After practicing in this long-term care facility and Hospital, I am very confident with activities such as, toileting, repositioning, using lifts, feeding, bathing, providing catheter care, comforting, etc. I interact very well in a working team as well as with clients. My experience also includes taking vital signs, recognizing changes or abnormalities in my clients and reporting them to the nurse in charge. Charting and writing incident report are also part of my skills. I strongly believe I am the right candidate for this position because while my objective is always to provide the best possible care, I always have time management in mind.
