Hello! My name is Kayla, and I am so grateful you've taken the time to consider me in caring for your loved one(s). -I have 12 years of experience in care & service from ages 0-80, including prenatal, labour and birth care as a birth and pp doula. - I have spent many years in personal and family support roles in medical settings, including the ER, ICU, care homes. There is very little(if anything) that makes me uncomfortable. I am quick to think on my feet, and bring peace & calm to crisis moments. I do my best to think 10 steps ahead at all times, making sure all needs are met to make sure the person I am caring for is as comfortable and happy as possible! In addition to care, I am able to offer a variety additional services, including: - I am a Professional chef and nutrition coach that can assist with healthy, nutritious, delicious meals, including diets such as dairy free, lactose free, animal based, gluten free, etc. -Art & Creative Therapy (painting, crafts, clay/pottery, baking, food art, and so much more! ) -Outings and Adventure I am always up for taking people out for new experiences. I truly believe there is so much fun and joy captured in spontaneous (or organized) adventure! -Games, Laughter, Fun Laughter is medicine and a little healthy competition is good for the soul! -Offer Christian and Faith Based support in everything I do. After my own experience with severe sickness and nearly death - Jesus healed me and redeemed my entire body. I am grateful for a second chance at life and one thing that comes with this that I do not take a single moment or day for granted. We were given life with a purpose - and even as we near the later stages in life, it's another reason to find joy in the little moments and be present with praise and thanksgiving!
