This is my personal recommendation for Melissa Yaklyvich. It has been my family’s good fortune to have Melissa care for my wife, who was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in 2007. My wife was ventilator dependent, immobile and unable to communicate. Melissa was employed from June 2013 to February 2018. Some of Melissa’s care giving services included feeding and giving medication via G-Tube, suctioning, transferring to and from the bed or wheelchair with the use of a Hoyer lift, maintaining and emptying folly catheter bag and bathing her. Tracheotomy maintenance duties included: changing inner candela, changing dressing, replacing and calibrating circuits, suctioning, monitoring and cleaning equipment. She would contact vendors if maintenance was needed on equipment. Melissa would drive my wife, using our wheelchair van, to the store, movies, events and doctor appointments. Melissa kept track of all supplies and medications and ordered as needed. Melissa is an intelligent and motivated individual. She is a very caring person and a person with high integrity. Melissa has always put my wife’s care above all others. Most importantly, I have full confidence in Melissa’s ability to take care of my wife in a professional and respectful manner, and her ability to do so for others
