A year of experience working in two different complex care facilities in the Greater Victoria area. Experience working with a diverse group of patients primarily with the elderly as well as adults, with a wide range of abilities and needs. Have assisted individuals with mental health conditions, developmental conditions, full range of different levels of mobility and a wide variety of complex health conditions. Am trained to use lift devices such as Sara 3000, Sara steady, Overhead lifts etc. Am confident assisting with dressing, oral care, transfers, feeding, bathing, toileting, aiding to maintain skin integrity, implement tactics to prevent falls, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration. Have Med admin training, a valid care aide license in BC, a diploma from Sprott Shaw college and valid first aide with CPR.
