Elder Care in Ridgefield, Connecticut

Hello! I am a full-time student at westconn majoring in psychology, and mother of a 5 year old girl who just started kindergarten! My schedule is fairly light this semester, and since I usually do care jobs in the summers, I thought I could take on something small this spring! I just lost my grandfather, but last month I could tell you that I have three elderly grandparents that I am very involved with! On top of that, one of my most memorable jobs was assisting elderly. My boss was annoyed with me because there were several clients that insisted on seeing me and no one else! I am very caring, patient, and know how to speak clearly, and never belittling. I see your loved ones for who they are, not just an 'old person'. I have a squeaky clean driving record (and criminal!) I love all pets, and am smoke free. You can't stop me from cleaning if you tried, and I am happy to run errands. I will help with getting dressed, but of your parent needs changing and showers, you should look for someone with certification. I will engage your mom or dad on their level, I will listen to their stories and their needs. If you want, I can bring my daughter for some 5 year old cheer on occasions. My usual going rate is 15 dollars an hour. I am available 11-3 on Monday's and Wednesdays and 9-10:30 T/Th mornings. 9-3 on Fridays. I really am only looking for a few hours a week.
