Who I Am: Nice to meet you! My name is Will. I am interviewing for an in home caregiver work opportunity in Savannah, Georgia. I am a good, reliable, punctual, honest, ethical, personable/fun, hard-working, patient, individual who really enjoys working with those who are no longer at their best. My background includes: 20 years of working then owning (with my twin cousins) the largest (& best) Funeral Home (Fox & Weeks) in the Savannah & surrounding area. We sold that business in 1987 & I bought and ran the largest manufacturing company of high end custom cabinets (Wilmington Cabinet Co) in the Savannah area. I have been an very active member of the Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church for all/most of my 69 years. After I retired & closed Wilmington Cabinet in 2011 I did very little until I desired to help others as long as GOD kept me on this earth. In late 2015, I decided that taking care of those who could no longer take care of themselves would be helpful to them & enjoyable for me so I went to work for Home Instead Senior Care & have indeed enjoyed it even more than I expected. My educational background includes Charles Ellis Elementary School in Savannah, GA., The Savannah Country Day School (1967) & Emory University in Atlanta, GA. (1971). I was very athletic at both SCDS (where I won numerous honors in Basketball & Tennis & at Emory University (Basketball, Tennis & Soccer). After College I was Salutatorian of the 1972 Graduating Class of the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, GA. Description of Skills Related To Senior Care: Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer & Daily Care and respite work. I have personal transportation available and almost 3 years of experience with Home Instead Senior Care. Mostly I am a loving, caring individual with a helpful and patient spirit !!!
