For the last three years, I have been a live-in caregiver to an elderly client with dementia. As his dementia was quite advanced, creating a structured routine for him was important to the family. So, I was responsible for helping him get ready for the day, preparing his meals, administering his medication, and bathing him at the end of the day. This experience taught me how to be patient, organized, and empathetic.
Living with my client and his family also gave me a firsthand look at how dementia affects people's lives. This inspired me to take a dementia certificate program to learn more about the condition and offer better treatment."
I completed my degree in nursing 2000 back in Uk london and now psw in Canada for now
