Do you want your family member in the care of a compassionate, honest, reliable and trustworthy person who will go above and beyond to be a companion and caregiver for your loved one? I performed daily care my father for seven years after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. During this time, I assisted him with meal preparation, medication management, bathing and light housekeeping. We would attend several different doctor appointments monthly. After his passing, my elderly neighbor's family asked if I could sit with her over night to assist her with medication, getting back and forth to the bathroom and just being there should she wake during the night, as she became fearful and confused. Calming her meant the world to her family and gave them the piece of mind that she was not alone. Being able to reassure an elderly person with a sense of security is very rewarding. I would love to do this again for another family.
