Hi there, my name is Autumn and I am currently completing my third year of Nursing at McMaster University. Due to the switch to online learning as a result of the pandemic I have lots of flexibility and availability in the daytime. I am currently staying in Bala, ON and am looking for a meaningful way to spend my time by supporting elderly individuals in the greater Muskoka area. I have clinical experience in medicine, surgery and mental health nursing. I am able to administer medications safely and on time and provide health teaching to clients on their illness and medication regimen. I am experienced in assisting those with impaired mobility to complete their activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence. I have worked in both long term care and as an in home respite support provider for a quadriplegic female with epilepsy, hearing and vision loss. I am trained in airway management, standard first aid, aquatic life-saving and CPR. I am looking for a part time flexible live-out employment opportunity with an employer who understands my academic obligations as a university student.
