Who I Am: Hello, my name is Carmen. I am a mature and experienced Caregiver/Personal Companion and I have lived and worked on the North Shore the 22 years. As for my background, I trained in International Bussiness with 3 languages. I have worked for the Ministry of Defense in the UK and other Facilities/Technology industries. After 10 years, I shifted and trained in a health care profession and I am a qualified Massage Therapist. This line of work lead me to be interested in working with people who had suffered debilitating strokes, recovering from thrombosis, hip/knew surgeries, parkinsons, Alzeimers/Dementia and MS. All my clients were under the direct supervision of their family doctors and I would facilitate any care program thereafter. Such as follow ups with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, heart and stroke exercise programs etc. I am interested in helping families with their loved ones (elder parent), who need assistance in their home, daily support doing tasks around the house, keeping up with their mobility and strength and going on outings. Either of a medical nature or for activities in the community. I am available now and I have a flexible schedule.
