I\\\'m currently enrolled at the University of Calgary studying Communications. I anticipate graduating in 2014. Through playing on many highly competitive sports teams, as well as volunteering my time coaching young girls, I have learned how to effectively work on a team, as well as step into a leadership role, in order to achieve a common goal. I have learned a strong work ethic through these experiences. Also, with my educational, limited work and athletic experience, I have gained a solid basis to problem solving, a flexible attitude and working my hardest to accomplish the best out come possible. I volunteered at a retirement home as a dinner server. From this position, I gained multiple qualities such as a strong social skills. Although I was not paid, I also spent months in Ontario with my grandmother during the summer. I did jobs around the cottage for her, as she has bad arthritis and can't perform a lot of tasks. I grocery shopped, cooked and socialized with her and her friends. I also took her to appointments and kept her active.
