I have worked in the field of Human Services as a case manager/counselor for the last ten years and through my career I have had the opportunity to work with a large diverse group of clients. However, I enjoy talking and learning about the lives of my senior clients most. I decided to take on companion care after building a long and rewarding friendship with an elderly neighbor. It was my pleasure to spend time talking, shopping, cooking and just enjoying the nice weather on a sunny morning with her. She was also a fulltime caregiver and I saw how tasking it could be on her. I believe in order to be the best you, one must take time for themselves (breath, relax, laugh, smile and regroup). I am responsible, caring, creative and flexible. As a mother, wife and oldest sibling of six household management for non-medical issues are part of the job. I provide in-home support services and home management (dishes, vacuuming, laundry, bed making, dressing, hair, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, medication reminders, and client transportation (errands, appointments, shopping trips, budgeting).
