I am a retired teacher and grandmother. I am able to take care of myself and would like to help others gain a measure of independence and confidence. I have lived in Baltimore for 14 years and know the city well. I have volunteered at Moveable Feast, which I found very rewarding. I am quite healthy myself but realize how difficult it is for many seniors to take care of themselves and to lose a sense of well-being and social engagement. As a senior concierge I would make a difference in people's lives, which was the primary reward of being a teacher.
