Hi my name is Shellesha Woodstock-Clarke.I'm 33 years old who is currently a work permit holder in the Cayman Islands for the pass three years. I have two daughters and a husband. I was a Certified Practical Nurse in Jamaica. I worked with many different types of Patents. I am a loving,kind,compassionate, outgoing, friendly and understandable individual who love life and love bringing joy to others. Home Care Assistants are expected to make their patients lives easier and more comfortable. My duties include making beds,doing laundry, preparing meals,giving patients their medications or running errands. I also change patients bandages, check vital signs or simply apply lotion to dry skin areas. Some light cleaning may also be part of my job as a home care assistant, even if only to maintain sanitary conditions in the home environment. I also help patients/Clients in bathing themselves and assist to get them into the bath or shower. I assist patients by changing their diaper if he or she is bed-bound. It is extremely important that the patient be allowed to maintain his or her dignity during these times. For recreation, I play card games or board games with patients,because it is a way of keeping them mentally active and alert. I also do crossword puzzles with patients or sit in back yard or front pouch for a couple of hours.
