Hello, my name is Ashley Mechura. I'm 26 years old. I'll be honest, being young, I don't have years upon years of experience, but I do have some. Around four years ago, my father was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. I helped provide care for him while my mother worked, and then we switched. He fought a long hard battle, and was the strongest man I've ever known, but unfortunately, passed away in July of 2017. I also worked in a group home proving care, love and assistance to six women with special needs. My mom has been a manager for several years, and she's the reason I found passion for this line of work. As far as myself, I truly believe I would be an excellent candidate because I'm compassionate, hard-working, devoted, loving and I have a huge heart. I absolutely love people. I am also fully MORC trained. I've been through all the classes, I'm CPR certified, I can pass medications, among other things. When caring for people, I look at them as if they're my own family. I provide care that I would hope someone would give to a family member of mine in need. I have always loved the atmosphere. I have always enjoyed being around children, elderly, and people with special needs. There's something unique about them, and I find the work to be rewarding. I'm patient, understanding, reliable, and I have reliable transportation. I'm a single mom to a handsome 2 year old boy, so I would prefer the day shift, but I'm flexible.
