Elder Care in Calgary, Alberta

Hi, I am very interested in becoming a part of this organization. I am a recent graduate of the LPN program with Bow Valley College. I am awaiting my temporary license and would be very much an asset to this company. I have a strong passion for working with the elderly population and have spent many hours working on transition units as well as geriatric units throughout my 2 years of schooling. I also completed one of my two final practicums with Alberta Health Services, Palliative home care and it was a very rewarding experience. I really developed my communication skills with clients and families. I am very eager to put my education into practice. I look forward to hearing from you. I have experienced 2 years of practical nursing program with several clinical rotations on transition units, medical units, surgical units, as well as palliative home care. I have done morning care on patients that required mimimal to maximal assistance. I have inserted/removed catheters, changed ostomy dressings/supply, simple and complex dressing changes.
