My name is Jim Van Matre, I was involved in the building maintenance field for over 30 years of my life..The last 15 years was at Acorn Trace Apartments which is a senior citizen apartment complex for 62 and over..My parents have ran the complex for over 35 years so working with the elderly has kind of been a calling for our entire family... Having been around the elderly so much of my life I have learned to understand that each senior is a unique person in their own way and no elderly person is the same so they should all be taken care of in the way that they want and the family wants not what everyone else wants..I spent the last 8 months taking care of my 76 year old Father who had suffered with colon and bone cancer for approximately 3 years before his passing.. That included bathing, feeding, and proper dosing off medicines..Even though I have been around the elderly so much throughout my life it wasn't until taking care of my father on a daily basis...That I realized how important it is to have someone that will treat your family members as you would want your own parents treated...I am CPR qualified, I am trained in the administration of the overdose drug NARCAN..and also have been trained Every 2 years in first aid..I am a member of the Non profit group known as the New York Guardian Angels..I am a member of the FLORIDA Guardian Angels...I have been with the Angels for 25 year's...And we are required to be qualified in CPR, first aid and bleeding control...If you . would like someone who is caring and conciencious please contact me and maybe we can work together to give your family member the great care and companionship they deserve...No criminal record, Driver License has no points..Non drinker,non drug user...
