Hello my is name Cassandra i have over 12 years of working experience as a Personal Support Worker , i am in my mid 30-40 age group.Working in this field has brought tremendous fulfillment to my life and because of that i have devoted my self to help others in need thorough there difficulties , in saying that i also enjoy cooking , going on walks , reading , and engaging in educational conversation . The decision of caring for the elderly came to me naturally as a result of me taking care of my grandmother who had a long fight with breast cancer which i had to support her with personal hygiene , going to chem... with her and just being there for her until the end.Life\'s journey has its ups and down that\'s one of the reasons why we as human need someone to be there for us when that time comes around, so here i am offering my services to you. SKILLS & TRAINING LONG TERM CARE FACILITY(nursing home ) 1 Assist with range of motion exercises and other rehabilitative measured of patients . 2 Support client independence . 3 Assist with personal hygiene . 4 Assist with meal preparation , grocery shopping , dietary planning , food and fluid intake. 5 Used appropriate transfer techniques & procedures for lifting residents one or two person by the mechanical lift. they often don't like to be told what to do so they may put up a resistance towards me e.g when it's time to take a shower he or she would refuse but family insist for it to be done so makes them upset causing them to yell or push me away.
