Hello Everyone; My name is Sandy and I have been in the Social Service field for many years, primarily as a Home Support Worker.. I have a strong care-giving background. I have been of service to a broad range of clients including those with developmental and physical challenges. I have been serving the senior population for the past 13 years, 5 years with Links2Care and 8 years working independently as a Home Support Worker for seniors. My compassion, enthusiasm and desire to assist those in need will be a valuable asset to your family. I have provided personal care, physical assistance, social and emotional support, ROM exercises, medication administration and direction and guidance with life skills. In addition, my attention was also given to nourish senior’s hearts, whether it be by strolling down memory lane, listening to the music of yesteryear, reminiscing over old photographs, cooking up favourite recipes, or social time with friends and family. I am very caring, nurturing and compassionate by nature. This has shown me the way to creating a positive effect and improving the quality of life for others. As most of my work is done independently, it requires me to be very responsible, dependable, flexible and time efficient. I have developed great organizing and communication skills.
