Hello! I am currently enrolled in my second year of the Bachelors of Science in Nursing program at Algonquin College/Ottawa U. I have been placed in a complex continuing care unit at Saint-Vincent Hospital in Ottawa, and have gained immense knowledge on senior care. After completion of my second year, I am eligible to work as PSW (personal support worker), and am eager to gain more experience in the geriatric setting if possible! In my placement I have gained experience with feeding, bathing, transfers, vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, insulin injections and much more!
